Perhaps my favorite activity when traveling is going out at night to capture long exposures, usually on the final night at a location if conditions are right. I got what I was hoping for with quiet, still conditions and not a soul around due to the cold.
Shots 1-3 were taken around the bend just south of Amalfi at Atrani, the smallest municipality in Italy with a surface area of just 0.12 km². Shot 3 includes a light trail left by an ambulance coming around the bend from Amalfi and across the frame. Shots 4-9 are of Amalfi which I think capture the magic of the place lit up on a still night.
Shot 10 less magical is one of my unflattering selfies taken while shooting in Spiaggia di Atrani. Note to self, work on Selfies.
Next week I head further south into Calabria and the coastal town of Tropea.
Cheers, Stuee
