Continuing from where I left off last week I was dropped off on the beach by the enterprising boatman who managed to fleece me out of 30 euros after we agreed to 20 "Trenta trenta" came the cry to which I retorted "Venti venti" a sob story about the cost of fuel then ensued. I relented and got on with my day.
With the improvement in the weather, more people began appearing in Tropea. Again there were very few tourists mainly locals and day-trippers taking advantage of the unseasonably warm conditions.
The final shot in the series is a local character who insisted I take his photo (no charge) his arms are cut off as I had the wrong lens on at the time. I met plenty of lovely people in this beautiful part of the world.
Next week I leave the toe of Italy and cross to the heel—namely the Apulian city of Lecce. Cheers, Stuee
Great stuff
